Turkey has delivered the Otokar Cobra and Cadillac Gage Commando armored vehicles to the Syrian Army, and the vehicles were already seen at the graduation ceremony of recruits from the 76th Division in Aleppo.

The Otokar Cobra, a Turkish-made wheeled armored vehicle, was designed to enhance mobility and protection for troops in high-threat environments.

Meanwhile, the amphibious Cadillac Gage Commando vehicles with a 4×4 configuration are generally used by internal security and law enforcement forces.

The delivery corroborates earlier statements from Turkish authorities, which indicated plans to assist the Syrian Army with equipment and military trainers.

A spokesman for the head of the Syrian transitional government told Reuters that upcoming discussions with Turkey would cover “training the new Syrian Army.”

Apparently, the spokesman was referring to the new force that is replacing the dissolved military after the end of Bashar al-Assad’s regime at the end of last year.
